Sports day for peace was launched in Angarsk.

The Grand opening of the zonal round of the twelve-year sports contest of Rosneft was held today, June 2, on the basis of the Yubileyny recreation complex.

Sports day of NK” Rosneft ” is the main sporting event of the company. The competitions are held in two stages and are a celebration of sports not only for its participants – employees of the company, but also for residents of the regions of its holding.

General Director of JSC “ANHK” Vasily Zakharov and Deputy mayor of Angarsk city district Alexander Lysov has addressed with a salutatory word to the participants of the games .

“Everyone knows that sports develop team spirit, teach to be responsible not only for themselves, but also for everyone who is nearby. I wish all participants good luck, glorious victories and real achievements!  Organizers-a huge appreciation for the glorious sports tradition, which is a striking example of the fact that the Angarsk city district is one of the largest sports centers of the Irkutsk region”, – said Alexander Lysov.

In the zonal competitions of the XIII Summer games among the subsidiaries participating teams: OOO “RN-Vankor”, JSC Verkhnechonskneftegaz JSC “irkutsknefteprodukt”, “RN-Krasnoyarsk”, JSC “vostsibneftegaz”, LLC “RN-Krasnoyarsknipineft”, OOO “Slavneft – Krasnoyarskneftegaz”), LLC “TAAS-Yuryakh oil and gas”, JSC “TomskNIPIneft, “Angara” (JSC “ANHK”, JSC “Angarsk polymer plant”, JSC “ANGP”).

The program of the games traditionally includes the most popular and affordable sports: mini-football, volleyball, basketball, athletics relay race, cross-country, table tennis, chess, tug of war, weightlifting and others. Most sports events are planned to be held at the stadium of the Yubileyny petrochemical complex.

ANHK has been participating in the Spartakiada  since 2008. The team “Angara” brings together the best athletes, working in JSC “Angarsk petrochemical company” and JSC “Angarsk polymer plant”. From 2017, part of the “Angara” includes employees of JSC “Angarskneftekhimproekt”.

For nine years of participation “Angara” three times became the champion of the final of the Summer sports Contest and four times the prize-winner. Angarsk residents won three first and three prizes in the Winter Spartakiad.
