Maslenitsa in Lukomorye

Maslenitsa is a favorite and long-awaited holiday in many Russian families. For a long time, it was customary that Pancake week is celebrated for seven days. This period is the name of the Pancake week. And from year to year the date of the beginning and the end of the Pancake week varies. In 2018, Maslenitsa will last from 12 to 18 February. Each of the seven days of the Maslenitsa Week of 2018 has its name and its traditions of celebration.
